Hi! My name is Davey Moangare, a Year 12 student at Moroni High School in South Tarawa, Kiribati. Hydra Refill started as a unique class project, guided by our teacher Mr. Brent, whose major is English. But instead of just teaching us how to write essays or give speeches, he gave us something special—a real-world task: build an online business.

That’s how I discovered dropshipping—a way to run an online store without needing to keep products in stock. I was inspired by how people around the world are using this method to sell useful items from anywhere. So I took that idea and created Hydra Refill, a store that offers smart, practical home products designed to make life easier.

Through this project, I’ve learned that language and technology go hand-in-hand. We used our English skills to create marketing messages, write product descriptions, and connect with customers in a way that feels real. This isn’t just about selling—it’s about using words to inspire trust, show value, and help people see how powerful and convenient modern technology can be in everyday life.
